Jamshedpur, Jan 12: Excise department has caught two persons with illegal Indian Make Foreign Liquor (IMFL) during a checking at Pardih Chowk under Azadnagar thana on Monday late evening.
The two persons were carrying 225 litres of IMFL in a car in which 25 crates of 750ml Kings Gold Whisky bottles were packed. The bottles had marking of being sold in Arunachal Pradesh only.
The checking was being carried out on the directive of the assistance commissioner excise wing Jamshedpur and the vehicle was searched during 2 am.
The two persons who have been caught are Santosh Singh of Bagbera and Bagbera traffic colony resident Pawan Kumar Srivastava and are being interrogated by the excise officials. Both have claimed that they were carrying the liquor from Seraikela to Jamshedpur .
