Jamshedpur, June 21: Jusco School South Park (JSSP) in association with Marwari Yuva Manch (MYM) organized a Yoga camp for students, teachers and parents to commemorate the 2nd International Yoga Day on June 21.
A total of 200 people including the students, parents, teachers and staff of JSSP and members of the Marwari Yuva Manch participated in this camp on Tuesday morning.
The yoga expert, Archana Gautam from ‘The Art of Living’ along with her volunteer, Shefali, guided the students, teachers and parents of JSSP through a series of asanas like vajrasan , ushtrasan , bhujang asan and surya namaskar.
She also explained the importance of these yoga asanas in stabilizing the body, mind and emotions of an individual.
The occasion was graced by the presence of special guest Chandra Sharan, convener, SAFE, along with the principal Shovna De, vice-principal Mili Sinha, coordinator K. Jaishree and Soma Banerjee. All JSSP teachers and staff also joined to perform the yoga asanas on this occasion.
Shovna De requested everyone present to practice yoga everyday as it makes one feel active, energetic and positive.
She also thanked Suresh Sharma and Dinesh Agarwal and other volunteers from Marwari Yuva Manch for their enthusiastic participation and efforts for making this yoga camp a success.
