20 tons of e-waste from Jamshedpur schools and colleges

Jamshedpur, July 2: Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd, Eastern India’s fastest-growing e-waste management company, had collected more than 20 tons of e-waste from Jamshedpur’s educational institutions in the last six months.  of Jamshedpur in the last 6 months. Presently, the company, headquartered in Kolkata, has a collection network of e-waste across 24 cities in 18 states of the country and plans to increase its collection points across all states of India.

Through the last six months, Hulladek had conducted extensive awareness campaigns and collection drives in 75 schools and colleges of Jamshedpur that resulted in collection of more than 20 tons of e-waste. The unconditional support of Tata Steel UISL (formerly JUSCO) played a leading role in the success of this awareness campaign.

“We have been conducting this workshop in our school for students of Std VI and above for quite some time. The way the awareness is generated towards e waste in children is commendable. The development of curiosity among children to know the different types of e-waste around us is commendable. Children are already aware of different types of waste. But in the modern era when digitalization has become mandatory for growth of a person and society, e-waste awareness among children is really important. The workshop conducted by Hulladek is really worthy of appreciation,” opined Rashmi Sinha, Principal, KPS Gamharia.

The number of notes and observations by education institutional heads and Principals speaks highly of the quality work undertaken by Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd. Principal Namita Agarwal of Jamshedpur Public School while thanking the e-waste collection company, said, “This drive will definitely make the students conscious about the environment. More importantly, the workshop has taught them the right way to dispose e waste.”

Awareness is definitely the key and so is the initiative undertaken through awareness drives and workshops,” observed, the founder of Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd, Nandan Mall.

He expressed his delight at children being made aware on the menace of e-waste and learning about the proper way of disposing them.
