Jamshedpur, August 13: Jamshedpur police is continuously running a campaign against drugs. The police also raided the Oraon Basti of Sitaramdera police station area and stopped the sale of illegal liquor.
On the basis of secret information, the police raided Oraon Basti and seized 100 litres of illegal Mahua liquor from a car and arrested two accused.
The arrested accused include New Layout resident Samal Pal alias Bapi Pal and his accomplice Shyam Nag. Giving information, DSP Headquarters 1 Virendra Ram said that the police received information that illegal liquor is being smuggled in a Maruti 800 car in Oraon Basti. Police took action on the information and arrested two people with illegal Mahua liquor. The police have sent both the accused to jail.
