Jamshedpur, March 16: A girl living in Birsa Nagar of Jamshedpur was raped by two youths.
The incident took place when the girl was going for defecation. After getting information about the incident, Birsanagar police station in-charge raided and arrested the accused Shiva Ruhidas and Govardhan Ruhidas. Both have been sent to jail on Thursday.
The incident took place near Hurlung pond of Birsanagar. It is said that at 5:00 pm on March 15, the girl had defecated on the banks of the pond. Then Shiva Ruhidas and Govardhan Ruhidas, residents of Nutandih, caught hold of the girl and took her to the bush and raped her in turn. After sending both the accused to jail, the police sent the girl for medical treatment and test.
Preparation is underway to get the girl’s statement under section 164 in the court.
