Jamshedpur, Feb. 7: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Amit Kumar reviewed the measures being taken by various departments with regard to the road safety.
At the meeting held in DC office, Jamshedpur traffic DSP informed that 19 black spots for accidents have been identified of which 11 are in Jusco/company area.
He said that the spot where more than five road accidents have taken place have been identified by the administration as black spots.
DC Amit Kumar directed to have rescue measures ready at the identified black spots by this month. He also took information about the short time and tenable measures to be taken for the safety at the spots.
DC directed the concerned officials to enable facilities of rumble strips, sign board at the accident prone spots as early as possible and asked the Jusco officials to complete the road widening work within the next 2 to 3 months.
DC Kumar also asked the departments to provide the list of the measures being taken to ensure road safety by February 9.
Also present at the meeting were Additional Deputy Commissioner, district transport officer, special officers of JNAC, MNAC and Jugsalai Municipality, district superintendent of education, district education officer and others.
