Jamshedpur, May 28: St. Mary’s English High School students came out with flying colors in the CBSE Class 10 exam, the results of which were declared on Saturday afternoon. According to the principal of the school, 18 students scored 10 CGPA with girls outshining the boys. Of the 18 students who scored 10 CGPA, 11 were girls.
Arpan Kundu of St. Mary’s English High School who scored 10 CGPA gave up to 10 hours daily before the board exam and his father, who is an associate professor at NIT Jamshedpur motivated him a lot.
Arpan wants to be a software engineer for which he is taking coaching at Prerna Classes. “I want to clear JEE Advanced and get admitted to one of the top IIT of the country and take up computer science because I’m very much interested in programming, Apps and computer games. I also have a website of my own,” said the topper.
Arpan further added, “I was expecting the marks as my father Vivekananda Kundu, associate professor, physics, helped me a lot all through my school life which motivated me to do better.” A resident of NIT Campus in Adityapur, Arapan will be completing his plus 2 from DAV Bistupur, His hobbies include painting, reading novels etc.
Fr. David Vincent, principal of the school, said, “I am satisfied with the overall result but expected around 25 students with 10 CGPA. The students and teachers have worked hard and hope the students excel in their future endeavors.”
The students who scored 10 points include Diksha Prasad, Jyotsana Agrawal, Arpan Kundu, Rooyel Mukherjee, Jasmeet Kaur, Kanisha Sidda, Sudeshna Paul, Sayon Banerjee, Amisha Singh, Keshav Kumar, Anushka, Ayushi Kumari, Rachana Tripathy, Farhan Ali Khan, Himangi, Tushar Pal, Rushali Kumari and Sandeep Kumar.
