Jamshedpur, June 11: Tata Steel Skill Development Society has achieved 100 per cent placement of trainees enrolled in its housekeeping course.
All the 16 trainees of the eighth batch were given job offer letters today at a valedictory function held at Hospitality Training Centre in Kolebira.
The trainees would be joining some of the country�s leading hotels like Hotel Park Hyatt, Goa, Hotel Le Meridien, Mahabaleshwar; Hotel Ginger, Jamshedpur. The salaries offered to the trainees range from Rs. 5,500-7,000. Additionally, they are entitled to a host of incentives and perks.
Captain Amitabh, Head, Skill Development, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Tata Steel, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, exhorted the trainees to look out for better training opportunities for professional growth. �You should always remain open to training and learning. It will help you grow professionally and earn more in the coming days� said Captain Amitabh.
The trainees appeared excited about their new jobs. �I look forward to a better future. With hard work I aspire to do well in life,� said Manoj Oraon, a housekeeping trainee who will join Hotel Park Hyatt, Goa.
Another trainee, Pradeep Gope said through his new job he will be able to shoulder his family responsibilities in a better way. �After the demise of my father, I was expected to take care of my family. Now with this job I will be able to do it,� added Pradeep who will be joining Le Meridian, Mahabaleshwar.
In its bid to fulfill the demand of trained manpower in hospitality sector, Tata Steel along with Indian Hotels and PRATHAM, an NGO, has been training economically weak youths at its Hospitality Training Centre in Kolebira since 2013.
