Jamshedpur, Jan. 29: Anjali Jha and Aryan Jaiswal bagged the Principal’s Award for sustained academic excellence, exemplary behavior, high ethical standard, sense of responsibility and leadership qualities, at Graduation Ceremony organized by Kerala Samajam Model School for the outgoing class 12 batch 2018-19 in the school premises on Tuesday.
The evening saw 152 students graduating, 49 in Science Stream and 103 in Commerce Stream. The ceremony consisted of awarding of certificates and batch souvenirs to all the students. The school has instituted various categories of awards to recognize versatility amongst students.
Academic Stars award went to Srabosti Dutta, Somnath Choudhary, Lovely Luthra, Pravleen Siali and T. Lipika.
Sport Stars award was won by Asfia Shiraz, Mohsin Khan and Indronil Sarkar. Other awards included for most versatile students were Bitan Dutta and Shalini Jha.
Priyanshu Shikha and Vatsal Khirwal won the Young Leaders Award. Rajat Arora bagged the difference maker award while extra mile award went to Adarsh Kumar Prasad and Akashdeep Singh.
In the morning assembly appreciation letter were given to 60 deserving students for their exemplary achievements in non-curricular skills and general conduct. This was followed by experience sharing by students. Several students walked down the memory lane; appreciated and thanked the teachers and support staff.
Teachers blessed them and wished them the best in life. Students expressed their profound feelings on this solemn occasion. K.P.G. Nair, Chairman, Kerala Samajam addressed the graduating students and honored them. The graduation ceremony culminated’ in a candle lighting ceremony which was lit by students and respective class teachers. It was an emotional moment for students who were bidding goodbye to their school after having spent their fourteen years budding from childhood to socially young responsible adults.
