15,000 youths to get appointment letter on Jan 12, 2019: DC

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society (JSDMS) and Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority jointly organized ‘Industry Connect’, a programme aimed at expediting skill development efforts by involving industries and businesses.

Addressing the gathering, East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar said the industrialists and businessmen should give useful suggestions to give a direction to the skill development campaign of the Central and state governments. He said the youths were being trained in various trades through the skill development training programmes. Such youths would be provided employment opportunities in the state itself. Industries are being asked to state their requirements for personnel so that they may be fulfilled, said Kumar.

The DC said the state government would give appointment letters to one lakh youths of the state on 12th January 2019 on the occasion of Youth Day. From East Singhbhum, 15,000 youths would be given jobs. This is why a target of training 20,000 youths of the district has been set, said Kumar.

Addressing a press meet at the conclusion of the programme, the DC said East Singhbhum was the top district in the country in skill development. On 12 January last, 7292 youths of East Singhbhum were provided employment, he said.
The representatives of various companies and senior district administration officials were present during the programme.
