Jamshedpur: A 15-year-old boy was murdered at Postunagar under Bagbera police station area about on Thursday morning. The boy identified as Raju Mukhi, a resident of Ramnagar in Bagbera had sustained bullet injury. Police came into action and today arrested 16-year-old boy for killing Raju.
The assailant who is said to be a friend of the murder victim, but the reasons behind killing the friend could not be ascertained yet. According to police, late on Wednesday night the assailant who is a resident of Postunagar visited Raju’s house and took him along to Mansa Puja venue at Postnagar. But Raju did not return home that night and as the family members started searching, they found his body lying at an isolated place in Postunagar. Then only Raju’s father Ganesh Mukhi informed the police for necessary action.
OC, Bagbera, Ram Yash Prasad confirmed that Raju was shot dead by his friend at Postunagar in Bagbera. “We are investigating and have already arrested the assailant from a house in Postunagar past midnight. The assailant who is also a minor has confessed his crime, but did not reveal the reason behind committing murder of his friend. Maybe a girl might behind the reason of the murder,” said Prasad.
The officer-in-charge said after committing the murder the assailant had dropped the pistol at a little distance from the spot where he had shot him.
