15 missing Jharkhand girls rescued as police act on High Court’s stern stance.

Ranchi, Oct 18: The Lathehar police in Jharkhand have rescued 15 girls, victims of trafficking, apart from the missing girl in the wake of the stern action taken by the Jharkhand High Court. This information was presented during the proceedings of the case in the Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday.

The hearing took place in the division bench of Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad and Justice Navneet Kumar. The bench ordered the district administration and the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) to ensure the safe rehabilitation of all the rescued girls.

The bench commended the efforts of the SP of Lohardaga, along with the IT team, and directed SP Lohardaga to continue locating other missing child victims. The court also instructed measures to protect these children from trafficking and ensure their prompt and full rehabilitation.

During the proceedings, Lohardaga’s Police Superintendent and the case investigator were present. The prime accused in the human trafficking case, Sunil Yadav, who is also implicated in a mining scandal, was ordered to be remanded for five days by the Jharkhand High Court.

Before this, an affidavit was submitted by the police, stating that the missing girl had been rescued. The affidavit further mentioned that 15 other girls who were victims of trafficking in Jharkhand had also been rescued. In a previous hearing, the court had drawn attention to the fact that the victim girl is still missing. The court had directed Lohardaga police to ensure the girl’s safe recovery in all circumstances.
