Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum District Athletic Association on Monday announced the 15 member squad for the 15th National Inter District Athletic Championship to be held at Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh from 24 to 26 November, 2017. In the under-14 boys category- 100 m Abhishek Dwivedi and Prasun Pandey, 600 m Vishal Singh Sardar have been selected. For the long jump- Aman Kumar Rajak will led the district.
In the under-14 girls-long jump- Nalin Minj, 100 m- Lakki Kumari, 200 m- Geeta Bala. In the under-16 boys- 200 m -Sunny Tiwary, 1000 m Navneet Kumar has been selected. In long jump- Aakash Munda , 400 m- Anil Yadav, 100 m-Sumanto Gorai and in the javelin throw-Sameer Kumar will represent the East Singhbhum district. D Amrita Rao has been appointed the team coach and Satpal Saini, the international athlete will be the manager of the team. The team members have been told to report at the Tatanagar railway station at 2 pm with birth certificate, Aadhaar card and other required documents. The team will leave Jamshedpur for Vishakhapatnam via Alleppey Express on Tuesday, November 20.
