Seraikela: Police here on Thursday arrested two persons in connection with the lynching of innocent youths in Shobhapur village of Rajnagar police station area. Those arrested were identified as Laxmikant Rajak and Kanhu Jyotishi.
Another accused in the lynching case today surrendered in the Seraikela district civil court. With the fresh arrests, the total number of accused nabbed in the lynching case so far has gone up to 14.
Informing about police action in the lynching case, DSP Deepak Kumar said police had attached the house and property of one of the named accused in the case, identified as Balbhadra Rajak. �We have remanded Kanhu Jyotishi to police custody. Warrants have been issued against the seven named accused arrested in this case so far.
If the accused persons do not surrender, we will get advertisements published to declare them as absconders and carry out attachment of their property,� he said.
