Jamshedpur, Sep 1: DBMS Trust, in collaboration with Meherbai Tata Memorial Hospital (MTMH), the Rotaract Club of DBMS College, and Rotary, organized a cervical cancer vaccination drive on August 30.
The initiative focused on raising awareness about cervical cancer and providing HPV vaccines at subsidized rates, particularly for students of DBMS educational institutions. A total of 133 beneficiaries from different DBMS units received the vaccine during the program.
The drive was conducted under DBMS Trust’s health and welfare initiatives, reflecting its commitment to preventive healthcare and community well-being. Expert medical support was provided by MTMH, while the Rotaract Club and Rotary (West) members actively assisted in managing the campaign and encouraging participation.
Organizers said the campaign underscored the importance of early vaccination in reducing the risk of cervical cancer. They added that such community-based initiatives play a vital role in spreading health awareness and building a culture of prevention in society.
