Jamshedpur, Aug 12: 123 units of blood were collected at a blood donation camp organized in the memory of BD Mandal by the Railway Cooperative Society, Baroda Ghat Bagbera in the Cooperative Society building. This was the second consecutive year that the camp was organized. More than 200 persons had lined up to donate blood but 146 were registered. 123 persons donated blood. The camp was conducted between 9 am to 4 pm. A young girl donated blood for the first time while Arvind Tiwary became a donor for the 58th time. The camp was supported by Voluntary Blood Donors Association and Jamshedpur Blood Bank.
Kaushalya Devi inaugurated the camp along with the children of the Society. District Panchayat Committee member Kishore Yadav, Gopal Ojha, Dhananjay Kumar, Sanjay Sharma, Kumar Gaurav, Sanjay Kumar Pathak, Valmiki Thakur, Vimlesh Srivastav, Niranjan Singh, Munna Prasad, VK Pandit, Vivekanand Singh, Omprakash, Jitendra Jha, Jitendra Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Nirbhay Kumar and Manish Kumar put in their combined efforts for the success of the camp.
