123 candidates file nominations in East Singhbhum ahead of November 13 polls 

Jamshedpur: The stage is set for the upcoming Assembly Election on November 13, 2024, as 123 candidates have officially filed nominations across East Singhbhum’s six constituencies. The District Election Officer’s office in East Singhbhum has released the final list, with high-profile candidates from major political parties competing for key seats in Baharagora, Ghatshila, Potka, Jugsalai, Jamshedpur East, and Jamshedpur West.
In Baharagora (Constituency 44), 16 candidates are in the fray, including BJP’s Dineshanand Goswami and JMM’s Sameer Kumar Mohanty, alongside a mix of independent candidates and representatives from smaller parties. Neighboring Ghatshila (45) will see 12 contenders, such as Baboolal Soren of BJP and Ramdas Soren from JMM.
Potka constituency (46) is set for a competitive election with 18 candidates, including BJP’s Meera Munda and JMM’s Sanjeev Sardar. In Jugsalai (47), 13 candidates have filed nominations, with candidates like AJSU’s Ramchandra Sahis and JMM’s Mangal Kalindi vying for the seat.
The Jamshedpur East (48)  constituency has attracted 32 nominations, including notable figures like Purnima Sahu from BJP and Congress’ Dr. Ajay Kumar. Similarly, Jamshedpur West (49) also has 32 candidates, with prominent contenders such as Congress’ Banna Gupta and Sarayu Rai from JD(U).
With nominations finalized, all eyes are now on East Singhbhum as candidates gear up for campaigning. Voters will choose their representatives in what promises to be a significant election day for the region on November 13.
