12 lakh cash stolen from Tata Steel employee’s house in Sonari

Jamshedpur, June 2: In a shocking incident, a sum of 12 lakh cash was reported stolen from the residence of Kaushan Kumar, a resident of Pardesi Pada B block under Sonari police station. The theft occurred between the evening of May 30 and the evening of May 31. Upon discovering the theft, Kaushan immediately informed the police, leading to the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) to initiate an investigation into the matter.

Kaushan Kumar, employed at Tata Steel, had kept the substantial amount of cash in a safe within his room to cover the expenses for his daughter’s wedding. The key to the safe had been secured under the mattress. On May 30, the wedding ceremony took place at a hotel located in Bistupur. Following the completion of the marriage festivities on May 31, when Kaushan went to retrieve the cash from the safe for payment purposes, he was shocked to find that the money was missing. Sonari police station in-charge Vishnu Raut stated that an FIR had been filed based on Kaushan’s account of the incident. The local authorities have initiated a thorough investigation into the matter. The police are currently examining various aspects of the case to identify the culprits and recover the stolen cash.
