Jamshedpur: The 10th edition of the Jyoti Inter-School Volleyball Tournament began on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the DBMS Kadma High School premises. This three-day tournament features 192 participants from 16 schools across Jamshedpur, competing in three categories: +2 Boys, High School Boys, and High School Girls.
The tournament was officially inaugurated by Avinesh Tripathi, District Sports Officer and District Tourism Nodal Officer for East Singhbhum, who hoisted the flag and declared the event open. The ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including Fr. Pravin Jose (Jesuit, Loyola School, Jamshedpur and Jyoti Coordinator), Anita Ramkrishna (Secretary), P.S. Aruna (Joint Treasurer), Gurpreet Bhambra (Principal), Suparna Roy (Senior School Vice Principal), S. Shireen (Junior School Vice Principal), Suprava Panda (Sports Coordinator), and the games teachers.
The tournament promises to be a spirited competition, showcasing the talents of young volleyball players from the city’s schools.
