Jamshedpur: Kadma area has emerged as the hotspot of Covid-19 cases
with 190 cases being reported from the locality on Thursday. In the
last 24-hours 23 Covid deaths have been reported in the district. Till
today 768 deaths took place. A total of 1010 positive cases were
reported today while 1007 patients recovered. There are 6631 active
cases present in the district.
With the surge in cases as many as eight containment zones were
declared in residential areas close to Kadma market. Local civic body
– Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee ( JNAC ) put up barricades from
all sides preventing entry of people to Kadma market. The authorities
also put barricades on the Kadma main road restricting movement of
The administration has also asked private hospitals to further
increase the number of COVID beds in the city as cases of coronavirus
continue to rise. In view of the increasing cases of corona, DC has
instructed various COVID Hospital managers to increase the number of
beds in their hospitals. They were asked to provide additional beds in
the hospital so that the pandemic can be controlled.
The Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar also directed the hospitals to
compulsorily keep the corona infected record along with their ID
proof. Along with this, instructions were also given to inform
COVID-19 infected people about the protocol. In the Corona period all
hospitals were directed to take appropriate measures for the
betterment of patients.
