Ranchi, Aug.23: Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma said that all BRP and CRP schools should be tagged for health checkups in all govt. schools.
These health camps should be held on a certain date every month. She said that dropout children should be brought back to school. She was directing DES, DEOs and school education department officials.
Laying stress on zero dropout, she said that BEOs, CRPs and BRPs should be made more accountable and all schools should be tagged with individual officers.
She said that certificates should be taken from the schools having cent percent enrolment and those lagging behind should speed it up. She said that aadhaar seeding should be done for a good number of students.
It was reported to the CS that 73 lac 9500 aadhar cards have been collected which is 95% of the total students. By now, bank accounts have been opened for more than 69 lac students and 53 lac, 9 thousand 851 students have been connected with aadhaar seeding.
The CS directed that all the schools should be provided with inspection register and the inspecting officers should fill it up during the inspection. She said that all districts should make such a work plan that every school should be inspected at least once a week.
She said that schools not performing properly where the number of the students is zero should be merged in a nearby school. If any complaint is lodged by a public representative, it should be taken care of before merging.
Work should be done as per the SoP to improve the examination process and the DEOs will be completely responsible for this. Photo copy of SoPs should be distributed in schools so that students can be educated as per the fixed parameter.
Laying stress at bio-metric attendance for teachers, the CS said to install biometric system in all schools for sure. It should be noted that biometric attendance has been installed in 1952 schools of the state.
She directed to provision separate periods for labs and library at plus-two level schools. She directed all DEOs to get volley ball court, football ground constructed in all the schools having land availability.
Apart from preparing hockey teams, inter school tournaments should be conducted to promote sports in schools. She said that 6 teams- 3 each of boys and girls- should be prepared by every school and sports blazers should be given to teams.
The CS said to dissolve the inactive school management committees and form new ones in place of the dissolved ones and they should be trained in a workshop regarding their roles in the school.
Education Secretary Aradhana Patnayak, Mukesh Kr., Manish Ranjan and other officers were present in the meeting.
