Jamshedpur: Zila Parishad member Kishore Yadav has written to Chief Minister Raghubar Das demanding allotment of development funds to Zila Parishad, Gram Panchayat and Panchayat committees.
He said the lack of funds was delaying implementation of development schemes in the district.
Earlier in the day, members of Zila Parishad, Gram Panchayat and Panchayat committees sat on a one day long fast before the office of the Deputy Commissioner in support of their demand for allotment of development funds.
Yadav said the Central government had done away with the BRGF funds. The funds of the 14th Finance Commission had not been made available to the panchayat representatives, causing delay in development works, he said.
