Jamshedpur: Over 50 youths joined district Congress committee at a function organized at Tilak Pustakalaya, Bistupur, on Monday. They took a pledge to serve the people under the banner of Congress party in the presence of the state Congress president Dr Ajoy Kumar. The new entrants to the party were led by Ashish Namta.
Addressing the gathering, the state Congress president said the youths should join the Congress to save the country from various threats and evils and serve it better. He said the youths should join the party for its principles and goals in the larger interest of the people.
Those present during the oath taking ceremony included district Congress president Vijay Khan, Laddu Pandey, Sanjay Singh Azad, Akhilesh Singh Yadav, Rakesh Sahu, Aparna Guha, Lal Babu and Mohammad Naushad.
