Jamshedpur: One Ashish Gope, resident of Khuntadih, Sonari, was killed by unidentified assailants on Wednesday.
Police sources said the youth was found critically injured near Sardar Akhara close to Kali temple this evening. The victim was taken to MGM Hospital where doctors referred him to Tata Main Hospital. He succumbed to critical injuries, police said.
Cops said the neck of the youth was found slit with sharp weapons. Profuse bleeding and internal injury led to his death, they said.
The family members of the deceased said the killing was the result of old enmity of Gope with several local people. Police have lodged an FIR in this connection and begun an investigation into the incident.
