Jamshedpur: Youth Congress committee members put up a demonstration at Sakchi to oppose the provisions made in the Union railway budget.
They alleged that the Union government had failed to live up to the expectations of the people by presenting the budget.
They said the BJP led government had failed to impress the people by hiking the rail fare and publicizing it as a harsh measure aimed at putting the railway ministry on track.
The outfit leaders said the hike in rail fare will lead to further inflation as the railway freight was also increased along with the passenger fare.
