Youth Congress opposes fee hike proposal for LLB

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand State Youth Congress general secretary Paritosh Singh Thursday opposed Kolhan University�s proposal to increase annual fees of LLB course from Rs 5000 to Rs 25,000. He said the proposal was aimed at extorting poor students in the name of providing them legal education. He said the majority of Kolhan students are poor who cannot even afford to pay Rs 5000 every year. In this situation, increasing the fee up to Rs 25,000 would be gross injustice to them, he said.
Singh said Youth Congress would launch a massive stir to get the proposal scrapped.
