Jamshedpur: A delegation of Youth Congress members will be meeting the SSP of East Singhbhum Anoop T Mathew on November 6 to demand arresting of the culprit who fired on Congress supporter Baldev Singh in broad daylight near Tagore Academy at Sakchi on Friday last.
Meanwhile, Sakchi police could not arrest the culprits who opened fire on Baldev Singh when the latter had come to pick up his son from the said school. Cops are looking for details about the shooters with the help of CCTV footage.
Police officials said they were still investigating the matter. They said no innocent person would be jailed in the case. On the other hand, the Congress leaders alleged that police was showing slackness in handling the case.
Sakchi police have registered an FIR against Munna Pundit, Harendra Pandey, Vikas Pandey, Pankaj Pathak alias Buchan Pundit and two unidentified persons on the complaint of Baldev Singh.
Baldev Singh had sustained three of the five bullets fired by four motorcycle-borne assailants around 1 pm. He is under treatment at Tata Main Hospital.
