Jamshedpur: Two persons die in separate road mishaps

Jamshedpur : Two persons died in separate road mishaps that took place in and around the steel city. In one of the mishaps, a 25-year-old biker was killed on Jamuna Road under Golmuri police station area last afternoon, in another mishap a 55-year-old scooter-rider hit into a stationary truck on Kandra-Seraikela Road under Seraikela area this morning.

The mishap victim, Pradeep, who was fatally injured in Golmuri had been rushed to Tinplate Hospital and later shifted to Tata Main Hospital in the night. Pradeep, who was unemployed and a resident of RamadinBagan in Golmuri, succumbed to his injury this morning.

A relative of the mishap victim said Pradeep had gone to drop his elder brother at the gate of Tata Motors Ltd in Telco when the mishap took place.

OC, Golmuripolice station, S Topno said the mishap took place as the victim was riding at a high-speed when he skidded off the road. ” We are investigating the incident. The victim was not wearing helmet,” said Topno, adding that they have seized the bike.

In another incident, 55-year-old man, MuneerHussain, died on the spot as the scooter he was riding rammed into a stationary truck near Gopidih village on Kandra-Seraikela Road. Hussain, who was a resident of Muriya village in Seraikela was returning home from Adityapur as the mishap took place.

OC, Seraikelathana, Ranvijay Singh confirmed about the mishap death.

” As per our information the man died in the road mishap near his house at Muriya village. But we removed the body from the spot and shifted it to the Seraikela sub-divisional hospital mortuary for post-mortem,” said Singh .
