Jamshedpur, Sept 14: Unidentified persons attacked one Wahab Ansari, a resident of Rahmatnagar, Kapali, under Azadnagar PS, with sharp weapons on Friday. The victim was critically injured in the incident. He was taken to MGM Hospital where doctors referred him to Tata Main Hospital.
Police began investigation into the incident. They said it could be a case of extortion.
Local BJP leader Nisar Ahmad said the incident took place as a result of poor law and order situation in the area. He said the incident was not new in the locality.
