Jamshedpur: In a heartbreaking incident, Jagjit Singh, known as Munnu Singh, who attended his girlfriend’s wedding in Birsanagar Zone Number 6, met a tragic end after being brutally assaulted. Jagjit passed away during treatment on Thursday night, leaving his family devastated.
The unfortunate incident unfolded on November 8 when Jagjit visited Birsanagar Zone No. 6 to participate in the wedding ceremony of his girlfriend, Preeti. Shockingly, he was subjected to physical assault by members of the girlfriend’s family during the event. Subsequently, Jagjit was rushed to MGM Hospital for immediate medical attention. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later referred to RIMS, Ranchi, for advanced treatment.
Upon returning home after the medical intervention, Jagjit’s health deteriorated, and he tragically succumbed to his injuries late at night on Thursday. In response to the incident, Jagjit’s younger brother, Avtar Singh alias Ravi Singh, has filed a case of murder against Babli Singh and others at the Birsanagar police station.
Confirming the development, Vivek Mathuri, the police station in-charge, stated that an FIR has been registered, and a thorough investigation into the matter is underway to bring the perpetrators to justice.
