Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Horse Riding School, CH area has made its presence felt for the first time since its establishment in 1992, by bagging 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals in an equestrian Show – the “North India Horse Show” at Sonipat, Haryana.
The equestrian show was held from 22nd to 26th November 2018. More than 200 riders across India participated for different equestrian events like show jumping, tent pegging & different Gymkhana events especially for Children.
All the events were conducted as per Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) guidelines with an aim to provide every horse and rider with a safe and encouraging competitive environment as per the standards laid down by EFI.
Master Shaurya singh, 6 years old, bagged the first medal for the Jamshedpur Riding School by winning silver medal in Hacks under age group 8 years.
He also won 1 Bronze medal in pole bending event under same age group. But the youngest rider among all competitors Miss Shivanshi Singh alias Mahi, 5 years started with Gold in Pole Bending event under same age group as that of Master Shourya.
She didn’t stop there and won 1 silver medal also in Hacks in female rider category. Master Harsh Agarwal, 14 years, has bagged 1 Gold in Hacks & 1 Silver medal in pole bending category under age group 14-16 years.
But missed a medal after finishing copy book style in Show Jumping event without any fault by difference of 0.1second and stood 4th position among 20 riders.
While the star rider Master Jasraj Singh Virk 17 years has put himself into the most challenging events like Show Jumping in young rider category (16-18 years) and missed a chance to win medal by a little margin. But he finishes with Gold medal in Hacks event under young rider category.
As it is saying “when the student is ready, the teacher will appear” and Jagmahinder Singh has joined in August 2018 as a coach cum administrator of Jamshedpur Horse Riding School and under his training all the budding riders have grown leaps and bounds so as to participate in this event.
Jagminder Singh is a very well known rider of BSF and won more than 130 medals in NEC national equestrian championships, National games, All India Police Competition, National Horse shows. He has huge experience in coaching of dressage, show jumping and cross country. After his joining, the riding school is witnessing a steep improvement, by his hard and dedication.
