Chaibasa, June 21: West Singhbhum district administration organized International Yoga Day celebration at Police Line ground on Wednesday. The Chief Guest deputy commissioner Arva Rajkamal inaugurated the event by lighting the traditional lamp.
Addressing the yoga participants, DC said that Yoga teaches us the art of living and provides peace of mind. Yoga is a major asset for India and it can be practiced irrespective of cast, creed, religion, country and color.
SP Anish Gupta said that Yoga is for entire humanity it integrates body, mind and soul. It also makes us physically fit and mentally strong.
Singhbhum Yoga association conducted the yoga class and also demonstrated collective yoga postures with the help of association young yoga practitioners.
A total of twelve asanas were taught on the occasion. The prizes were also given away by the chief guest. Present on the occasion were all the district level government officers and the girls students of various schools.
