Jamshedpur: The Global Management student of XLRI Jamshedpur (batch 2015-2017), Vikas Kumar Gupta, has got an annual salary package offer worth a whopping Rs 55 lakh from Tola Ram Group based in Nigeria.
Gupta, son of a petrol pump owner, Rajendra Prasad Sah and Chhaya Gupta, is a resident of Parsudih. He studied in a city school till standard VI after which he studied in Dehradun. He later studied at DAV Shyamali, Ranchi from standard XI till XII. Later, he did his B.Tech from NIT Trichy and appeared for XAT.
As per Vikas, an All India Business Plan Competition was held in November 2016 in which around 1000 students from different B-schools across the country had participated.
After a total of seven rounds, 11 students were finally shortlisted.
Vikas was one among them. On being adjudged at the third spot, Vikas won not only a cash prize of Rs 50,000 but was also picked up by the said Nigerian company.
