Jamshedpur: XLRI Jamshedpur, in collaboration with the National HRD Network (NHRD), will host the 1st Labour Codes Conclave ’26 on February 7, 2026, at its campus. The one-day, high-impact conclave is being positioned as a national-level, workshop-led forum focused on the practical implementation and compliance of India’s four new Labour Codes.
Titled “From Policy to Practice”, the conclave is designed as an immersive learning workshop that will bridge the gap between legislative intent and real-world organisational execution. The programme will feature in-depth sessions conducted by senior policymakers, industry leaders, eminent HR professionals, and leading labour law practitioners, offering authoritative insights into the evolving labour law regime.
The agenda includes focused core sessions on the four Labour Codes, covering policy rationale, legal structures, employer and HR implications, compliance frameworks, and organisational readiness. This will be followed by a practitioner-led implementation workshop featuring real-life scenarios, compliance simulations, and applied learning assessments. A closed-door faculty–industry roundtable will further deliberate on implementation challenges and future academic–industry collaboration.
A key outcome of the conclave will be the development of a comprehensive Labour Law Compendium, which will consolidate the deliberations and practitioner insights from the event. The compendium will be formally published under the NHRD × XLRI banner and disseminated across the National HRD Network nationwide, positioning it as a single source of truth for understanding and implementing the new Labour Codes.
“ Participants who successfully complete the policy sessions and implementation workshop will also be awarded a joint professional certification by NHRD and XLRI, recognising their applied competence in labour code interpretation, statutory compliance, and HR governance,” informed an official of XLRI.
The conclave is open to a limited number of industry professionals, senior HR leaders, legal practitioners, and compliance experts. XLRI and NHRD have also invited organisations interested in partnering with or supporting the initiative as knowledge partners or sponsors, offering long-term visibility through association with the nationally published compendium and professional certification framework.
