XLRI Jamshedpur Ensemble Valhalla concludes on musical note, Salim Sulemaan enthrall audience

Jamshedpur: Ensemble Valhalla, XLRI’s annual cultural, sports, and management festival, concluded on a musical  note. On the last day, Bollywood music directors Salim Sulemaan gave scintillating performance.

The fest’s theme is “Symphony in Chaos”. The theme calls for people to find their

symphony in the chaos that life sometimes becomes. After 2 years, XLRI has woken up to a completely offline version of the 23rd edition of Ensemble Valhalla.

The day witnessed spectacular craze in various events like Spin a story, MasterChef, Strategikon, Tycoon’s Gambit, Sci-Biz-Tech Quiz, etc. which kept the attendees engaged. Various sporting events  like Badminton, Futsal, Basketball, Pool, Basketball and other matches hyped up and energized the whole campus.

One of the highlights of Day 2 was the incredible talk with Sumedh Patodia, the director of team Thunder Boltz. The event started with an inspiring and awe-inspiring video of the journey of thunderbolt and Patodia. He cherishes the moments he has spent in IIMA and how this event is making him relive the nostalgia. He also mentioned, “I didn’t do well in XAT and didn’t have an interview call either and it is a very happy moment for me to be a part of XLRI in this event.” He shared his journey from his schooldays to the present. Another heart-moving tale that he shared was, “My father bought the sports team because he thought it would be exciting and passionate. He wasn’t  much aware of Volleyball. Talking to him made me realise that if my father can take a risk in his 60s, I can at least do that when I’m 27. And so I left my job.” One of the very interesting insights that Patodia shared was, “If you’re a part of an industry that isn’t doing well and you give your 100%, it’s still going to not favour you well. If you’re mediocre but you are a part of an industry which is doing great, you’ll do great. This was my thought process before buying a sports team.” Volleyball is the third most popular sport in the country.

Another enthralling discussion followed in the Webinar on Enterprise Blockchain Project Development by Ravish Jain – Country Head of Tatum, Blockchain Development Partner of EV 22.

‘Machayenge: a group dance event’ lighted up the stage of Tata Auditorium with its spectacular  performances from various b-school teams. The event was judged by Sangeeta and Vineeta from SanghVi dance centre. The event concluded with the result declaration by the judges.
