Jamshedpur: XLRI, Jamshedpur, is set to host a significant three-day POMS India Chapter Conference from December 4th, focusing on the theme “Envisioning the Future of Operations Affordability.” With an emphasis on promoting new technologies and envisioning the future of the field, the conference aims to facilitate collaboration between more than 300 invited representatives from India and abroad.
Father S. George, Director of XLRI, shared that the conference, centered around Production and Operations Management, is a crucial initiative to bring together academics and practitioners for the advancement of technology in the field. He expressed optimism that the program will immensely benefit the future of XLRI and its students, fostering positive changes in production and operations management.
Conference Chairman Prof. Alok Raj has curated a comprehensive plan for the event, encompassing participants from India, America, Britain, China, Colombia, and Canada. The conference will feature discussions on three panels, covering topics such as carbon neutrality, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and the digital supply chain. Prof. Vinod Singhal will conduct a workshop during the conference, contributing to the exploration and understanding of these critical subjects.
