Jamshedpur: The third and final day of XLRI�s annual national management conclave, Ensemble, saw a perfect amalgamation of competitive spirit and festive enthusiasm as participants, students and organisers geared up for the last run of events.
Leading the line-up of events was The Next Gen Leader � the biggest leadership event and flagship event of Ensemble 2016 which saw carefully handpicked participants from the top B schools fight it out in an intense battle for the leader with the most promise to emerge victorious. Yogesh, a second year student of XLRI emerged as a winner bagging the mega prize of 1 lakh rupees.
Circus Maximus, the flagship marketing event organized in association with the Marketing Association at XLRI and Prometheus, the flagship finance event conducted their final round which saw some of the most creative minds use their wits and marketing prowess to impress the judges. While the former saw Cereal Killers, a team from MICA as the winners, the latter was won by Ayushi Gupta and Anirban from IIMC.
The domain event of HR, namely Apollo, conducted its final round and saw teams attempting to address various HR & IR issues. The flagship entrepreneurship event, Genesis. With the Entrepreneurship cell, also conducted its final round on the last day.
Model United Nations was held in XLRI for the second straight year. The delegates were given a chance to articulate their country’s stand (within 90 seconds) on the issue before the council. This was followed by two rounds of moderated caucus of 20 minutes each.
Dracula, the dramatics and cultural association at XLRI kept the crowds engaged with events like Face Painting, Dumb Charades etc. The Infrastructural Committee conducted MasterChef, the fun event with a huge number of participants trying out their cooking skills.
The Idea Summit continued for Day three with Nikhil Chandwani as the speaker. Nikhil is a well-known author, filmmaker, hollywood documentary director and a script writer.
He spoke about his experiences with crisis reporting, specially the Syrian crisis. The audience interacted with him over various matters and discussed the issues of terrorism and international security. In the session, Nikhil also spoke about careers in unconventional field and how terrorism is strengthening its roots.
The biggest highlight of the day was the much awaited Lucky Ali concert. Lucky Ali sang his well-known songs and amazed the crowd that was already filled with enthusiasm.
According to the Fest�s convener, Yugal Chandra Bisht, this year the fest was bigger both on scale and participation, as well as the prize money. He thanked the sponsors, media, students, faculty, and the Ensemble Core Team for their help in making the fest a grand success.
