Jamshedpur: Wrapped in party flag, last rites of senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Chandrabhan Singh was performed on Tuesday. His son BJYM State working committee member Rajesh Singh performed the rituals at Swarnarekha Burning Ghat.
Earlier, BJP district president Dinesh and senior party leaders paid tributes to Chandrabhan.
On the occasion Dinesh condoled the death of the veteran part leader and said that Chandrabhan joined BJP from the time of Jan Sangh. He worked for more than 30 years to make the party foothold strong.
Hundreds of party workers were present during the funeral procession of Singh.
Chandrabhan, 84, passed away on Sunday. He was undergoing treatment at Tata Main Hospital. Many senior party leaders including state food minister Saryu Roy and district BJP president Dinesh Kumar visited the senior leader�s house to condole his death. Roy said the veteran leader had contributed a lot for the BJP�s rise.
