World Toilet Day celebrated in East Singhbhum

Jamshedpur: World Toilet Day was celebrated with fervour in all blocks of East Singhbhum on Monday. A host of programmes were organized on this occasion. Swachhata Rally was taken out in the blocks with the view to create greater public awareness on personal health and hygiene.

In Jamshedpur, the executive engineer of Jamshedpur Mantosh Kumar distributed saris among Jal Sahiyas of Sarjamda panchayat. Self help group members were also felicitated. In Dhalbhumgarh, green and blue dustbins were distributed for segregation of dry and wet waste.

In Baharagora, a compost pit was constructed. Students took out a prabhat pheri on this occasion. In Mosabani, students of class I to V participated in a Swachhata Rally which moved through the village. The students raised Swachhata slogans.
