Jamshedpur, April 23: The students of Loyola School observed World Earth Day with sincerity and a sense of commitment. A special assembly was conducted beginning with a prayer, wherein students took a pledge to preserve and conserve the self- sustaining planet Earth.
A thought- provoking presentation by students highlighted the importance of fighting climate change and conveyed a strong message about the different ways of taking care of our planet. A soulful dance presentation on the same was showcased, thus emphasizing the need for everyone to invest their time and effort in protecting the environment and reducing the impact of global warming.
Fr. Vinod Fernandes, Principal, Loyola School, appreciated the efforts put in by the students. In his address to the students, he highlighted the significance of Earth Day for every citizen of planet Earth. He mentioned that the school has taken up the Tarumitra project with the aim of creating awareness among the students regarding the need to protect our planet.
The day was also special as the school honored ten of their Alumni members who generously spared their valuable time to take substitution classes for the students in place of teachers who were away due to Board paper evaluation.
