Jamshedpur, Dec. 1: The NSS Cell led by HoD and in-charge, Vinay Singh Shandilya, organized an awareness programme on the occasion of World AIDS Day on Wednesday at Srinath University. The awareness program was undertaken primarily with the purpose of informing people that AIDS continued to remain contagious and gave out the message of protective measures to be adopted to keep the dreaded disease at bay.
Srinath University’s HoD, Dr Monika Uppal that people very much needed to be aware of AIDS, more so in the wake of the pandemic, COVID-19 and stressed that the youth segment of the community needed to be very careful for their own safety and that of their families. She said that AIDS, like COVID was highly contagious and the same protocols as dose for protection against coronavirus should be adopted in case of the pandemic as well.
All students, faculty members and staff abided by COVID-19 norms furing the programme. Among those present on the occasion included Srinath University’s Media Cell In-charge Rachna Rashmi, Sudhanshu Shekhar Mahto, Madhu Sharma, Bhavya Bhushan, Madhuri Kumari, Vikas Prasad and Bina Mahto.
