Workshops help teachers to impart infinity knowledge to students

Jamshedpur, September 12: The capacity Building programme for in-service teachers was organised by Regional Training Centre, Jamshedpur Zone under the aegis of DAV-CAE, New Delhi on 12th and 13th September, 2016, in the premises of DAV Public School, Bistupur.

The Training programme was held for in-service teachers teaching classes III to XII, for the following subjects-English, Social Science, Computer Science and Science, while the training programme for the subjects Hindi, Sanskrit, Maths and Physical Education was conducted in the premises of DAVPS, NIT Campus, Adityapur.

The inauguration of two-day Seminar-Cum-Workshop was done in august presence of Regional Director, DAV Public Schools, Jamshedpur Zone, S.K Luthra, Principal of DAV Public School, Bistupur, Pragya Singh, Principal of DAVPS, Baharagora, S.K.Pandey.

In this Training programme 9 schools of DAV Public Schools, Jamshedpur Zone participated.

In her address, the Principal of the host school, Pragya Singh said that these workshops give us a golden opportunity to share our experience, views and thoughts and they become enriching learning experiences.

We can make our teachings learning process more effective and interesting, Regional Director of DAV Public Schools, Ranchi Zone in his address said that teaching is a profession which expects us to learn continuously and to be life long learners.

It is important for all the teachers to make maximum utilization of these workshops to the best of their ability and develop their capacity in teaching so that they can impart infinite knowledge to the students and make teaching process innovative, interesting and conductive and holistic development of the students.

In English the programme schedule was common errors in English and writing skills by Rahmatullah (DAV , Jhinkpani), teaching policy, prose and writing skills by P.K. Das (DAV Noamundi), writing skills by S.K. Panigrahi (DAV Bistupur), teaching of Poetry by Raj Kumar Acharya (DAV,NIT Campus, Adityapur). Discussion on syllabus, blue print and preparation of sample question papers by Monica Nath and Smriti Pandey (DAVPS, Bistupur) and preparation of sample question papers as per CBSE pattern by Sumana Brahma (DAV,NIT Campus, Adityapur).

In the training programme for Science the resource persons were Nawin Kumar (DAV, Bistupur) and U.K. Chowdhary (Tata DAV, Chaibasa).

The emphasis was on active participation of all the teachers facilitators and the feelings of ownness and solidarity among all the members of DAV family. Emphasis was also laid on developing scientific temperament in the minds of the students and strategies for development of science and its application.
