Workshop for 30 differently-abled, underprivileged children at Tata Zoo

Jamshedpur, Nov. 13: A workshop was organised for differently-abled children of special School of Joy and underprivileged children of a local NGO “Sanskriti’ on the second day of the Wildlife Conservation Awareness Week Celebration 2015 at the Tata Steel Zoological Park on Friday.

During this week-long celebration, Tata Zoo took an initiative to reach out and spread awareness at different levels of society.

The workshop involved children, their teachers and guardians and the time was utilized making different kinds of articles using soil, such as flower pots, diyas etc. Mrs. Ruchi Bansal, founder of Unnati Art & Craft, taught the children to make these easy items, they enjoyed. A total of 30 students from special School of Joy and 5 students from local NGO “Sanskrit” participated in the workshop.

The remaining programs now scheduled during Wildlife Conservation Awareness Week Celebration 2015 are fancy dress competition in the zoo picnic area on November 14 and on the spot painting competition also in the Zoo Picnic area on November 15.
