Workshop empowers adolescent girls with health & hygiene awareness

Ranchi: A one-day workshop on cleanliness, nutrition, health and empowerment was organized at S.P.G. Mission Middle School, Kanke, Ranchi, under the aegis of AGEAS Federal Life Insurance and TRY Organization. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about hygiene and health education among adolescent girls, with active participation from the Kishori community.

The workshop featured engaging presentations and a thought-provoking play, inspiring participants to embrace a healthy lifestyle and tackle challenges with confidence. Sanitation kits containing essential items like sanitary napkins and soaps, along with nutritious food packets including gram, mustard oil, jaggery and dry fruits, were distributed to all attendees.

Speaking at the event, Utpal Dutt, Secretary, TRY, emphasized, “It is crucial for adolescent girls to understand the mental and physical changes they undergo and be aware of nutrition, hygiene and menstrual health.”

TRY Organization, committed to social welfare and development, continues to drive positive change in education, health and skill development. Similar workshops were also held on February 10 and 11 across four locations in Deoghar district, including Palojoria, Devipur, Karown Block and Sarath.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Principal Vikas Paridhiya, along with teachers, TRY officials and representatives from AGEAS Federal Life Insurance, reaffirming their commitment to community welfare.
