Chandil: Workers of Sidhi Vinayak Metcom Limited, Chandil, went on strike on Wednesday to protest notice of sudden closure of the plant allegedly put up today by the company management.
They alleged that the company management had put up the notice at the plant entrance this morning in Rugri village under Chowka police station area.
They said they had not been given facilities as per government rules. Company officials could not be contacted for their comments.
In the notice, it was said that the demands of workers were unjustified and hence the management had decided to close down the company for an indefinite period.
