Jamshedpur, Jan. 13: Jharkhand Uranium contract workers association and UCIL Narwapahar displaced along with Prabhavit Kalyan Samiti jointly distributed chura, gur (jaggery) among the Narwapahar contract workers on the eve of Makar Sankranti on Friday, January 13.
Around 200 workers seemed happy after receiving the chura and gur (jiggery). The workers association aimed at spreading happiness among the contract workers and give them moment to enjoy the festival.
On the occasion UCIL displaced and Kalyan Samiti Vice-president Shiv charan Murmu said, the main motive behind distributing the chura and gur was to spread happiness in the workers home. On the occasion Jahenda Baskey, Shiv charan Murmu, Vidya Sagar Das, Rajendra Singh, GajiyaHansda, Chaitanya Soren, VishuBaskey, Gyanranjan Tudu, Budhiram Tudu, Dhaniram Kisku and others were present.
