Worker dies in mishap

Gamharia: One Robin Mandal, a contract worker, died on duty in Anvil Cables Company in the Adityapur Industrial Area at Gamharia.

Sources said the victim was working on a rewinding machine early Wednesday morning when he came under its spate and died of critical injuries.

Earlier, one employee was injured during work. The officer in-charge of Gamharia police station RN Choudhary visited the company and probed into the matter.

He asked the company officials to promptly inform police about such incidents.
