Ranchi, Jan 27 : Chief Secretary R S Sharma today directed that there should be no cash transactions at all district registration offices after March 31, 2014 and all work at the registrations offices in the next financial years will be done on-line and presently this process has been adopted only in Ranchi district.
He was speaking at a meeting with the Registration Department Secretary Satyendra Singh and others at the Project Building.
The Chief Secretary said that an awareness programme for on-line registration should be initiated and the search module should be made user friendly so that common people do not face any difficulty while using it.
The E-nibandhan portal should be reviewed by experts and improved on the basis of their feedback.
He also directed that sale of E-stamp be increased and the work of digitization of land records should be expedited.
He said that the data of registration office should be linked to the circle offices so that the Circle Officer performed the mutation process using it.
