Jamshedpur: The 48th birthday of Congress president Rahul Gandhi was celebrated by the district Women’s Congress on Tuesday. A road show was organized between Aam Bagan ground and Shahid Chowk in Sakchi. It was led by the Women’s Congress secretary Manju Das. The participants raised slogans to seek public support to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister in 2019.
A cake was cut at Shahid Chowk. Party leaders took a pledge to make Rahul Gandhi the next PM. They said the Narendra Modi led government at the Centre had failed to live up to the expectations of the people and that now only Rahul Gandhi could save the country.
Among those present included Youth Intuc national secretary Rakesh Sahu, Usha Yadav, Surendra Sharma, Meena Nag, Bimla Mukhi, Uma Lohar, Neha Sharma, Kiran Devi, Laxmi Munda, Basanti Bag and Samata Das.
