Jamshedpur, Aug. 14: Virat Devipujak Sangh Tatanagar on the occasion of Sheetla Saptami on Monday organised a puja at Sheetla Mata Mandir in Kasidih.
On the occasion women from Gujarati Devipujak Society worshipped Sheetla Mata and prayed for long life of their husbands and peace for their family.
After performing the rituals at the temple, women worshipped the gas stove. On the occasion of Sheetla Saptami food is prepared one day in advance which the women offer it to Sheetla Mata on the day of puja with cold water after fasting.
The family members on the occasion of Shashti eat cold food. Women in large numbers gathered at the Sheetla Mata Mandir since early morning.
